The family stories of Panzano: a tale of the district through the memories of its inhabitants.
The Atelier Panzano project aims to reconstruct the memory and the value of places in the neighborhood of Panzano (Monfalcone-GO) by collecting the stories of its inhabitants.
The goal of Atelier Panzano is describing the neighborhood as a place for meeting and for building a community. The Ecomuseum Territories, the Municipality of Monfalcone, the Cultural Consortium of Monfalcone and Kallipolis are the partners of the project.
On days 17, 18 and 19 June 2013 at the Visitor Center in Via Pisani 28 in Monfalcone, from 17.00 to 21.00, citizens were invited to tell their family stories linked to the neighborhood: memories, intimate and imaginative narratives and personal episodes related to the neighborhood spaces were collected, in order to create an inventory of past and present relationships between urban space and everyday life, also reflecting on possible actions to promote the territory.
Each story was returned through memory snapshots thanks to the work of the illustrator Saul Daru. The intertwining of these snapshots has become the collective memory of the district, told in the form of animated short.
