Corridors of revitalization for the “Sestiere della Maddalena” in Genoa

The new project of Kallipolis in Genoa is part of a larger program of the City of Genoa aimed at revitalizing the Sestiere della Maddalena neighborhood, one of the most complex areas of the historic city center of Genoa.
During the project, together with local partners, Kallipolis will produce, partecipatively, two community maps of the area: one dedicated to the craft and commercial activities and the other to experiences, perceptions and stories of the neighborhood, as seen from the eyes of those who live and work there.

The maps represent in a creative way two ideal “corridors” to cross and move through the area, which has a complicated configuration, which discourages pedestrian presence
