Happy Birthday Kallipolis!
On the 30th of January, 2006 we were so excited that we had to sign twice the statute in front of the notary.
We were five, we were not yet thirties years old. We had different backgrounds but we had in common the recent experience of the Master in urban planning in developing countries at IUAV University of Venice and we shared a vision: working to upgrade urban environment both in international cooperation to development projects and in marginalized neighborhood in Europe.
We had many ideas and plans in our minds and we wanted to fulfill them through the association we were about to establish, “KALLIPOLIS“.
Ten years later the group has grown: someone left, someone arrived. Each one has enriched the association with peculiar competences. Many of our projects have been implemented with valuable partners and financial support, others have never taken off and they are still closed in the drawer.
Thanks to the commitment of all members who dedicate their time and passion to Kallipolis, ideas rather than run out increase and grow and perhaps another 10 years will not be enough to realize them all.
We dedicate this birthday to all the passionate people we shared this dream with and helped us to make it real.
